Ki`vi*ki"vi\, Kiwikiwi \Ki`wi*ki"wi\, n.; pl. Kivikivies (?), Kiwikiwies. (Zo["o]l.) Any species of Apteryx, esp. A. australis; -- so called in imitation of its notes. Called also kiwi. See Apteryx.
