Kuching

Kuching means ‘Cat City’ in Malay; nobody will look sideways at those who hug street strays or shriek ‘pusspusspuss!’

Frequent flights go to Kuching daily from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

This company is very wealthy and owns the only steamship line, plying between Singapore and Kuching.

It would be difficult to imagine a more picturesque town than Kuching.

Tiger-cat, kuching-rimau (said to feed on vegetables as well as flesh).

The public offices and buildings of Kuching seem to be particularly suitable for this hot climate.

There did not seem to be any of the curious fire-tubes for producing fire which we had seen in the Museum at Kuching.
