lupus hypertrophicus lupus hy·per·troph·i·cus (hī'pər-trŏf'ĭ-kəs)
n.
A form of lupus vulgaris in which the tubercles are grouped into prominent hypertrophic nodules with deep-seated scarring, usually on the chin. Also called lupus tumidus.
