Medici, Lorenzo de [(law-ren-tsoh, law-ren-zoh duh med-uh-chee)]

An Italian ruler of the fifteenth century, known as “Lorenzo the Magnificent.” He was patron of several of the great artists of the Renaissance, including Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci.
