tuberculosis in which the bacilli are spread by the blood from one point of infection, producing small tubercles in other parts of the body.

Acute miliary tuberculosis of the lungs is more often met with as a sequela than as a complication.

Acute miliary tuberculosis is also an occasional complication, but is oftener met with as a sequel.

Acute miliary tuberculosis as an immediate concomitant of measles is rare.

The liver is seldom attacked by tubercle, unless in cases of general miliary tuberculosis.

Nor are the cases of miliary tuberculosis, resulting from caseous degeneration of rachitical glands, very exceptional.
