Mohs' chemosurgery Mohs /'mOz,/ Frederic Edward (b 1910), American surgeon. Mohs served for manyyears as professor of surgery and chief of the chemosurgery clinic at the University of Wisconsin. He discovered and developed the clinical use of chemosurgery for the microscopically controlledexcision of cancer of the skin, lip, parotid gland, and other external structures.
