monocytosis mon·o·cy·to·sis (mŏn'ə-sī-tō'sĭs)
n.
An abnormal increase in the number of monocytes in the blood, occurring in infectious mononucleosis and certain bacterial infections such as tuberculosis. Also called monocytic leukocytosis.
