Mor·ro Castle   (môr'ō, mŏr'ō)   
A fort at the entrance to the harbor of Havana, Cuba. Built by the Spanish (1589-1597) to protect the city from buccaneers, it was captured by the British in 1762 and bombarded by American forces during the Spanish-American War (1898).
