a malformation in which the head is somewhat pointed, caused by premature closure of the skull sutures.
Also called acrocephaly.

n.
A congenital abnormality of the skull in which the top of the head assumes a conical or pointed shape because of premature closing of the lambdoid and coronal sutures. Also called acrocephaly.
