Mu"ci*vore\ (m[=u]"s[i^]*v[=o]r), n. [L. mucus slime, mucus + vorare to devour.] (Zo["o]l.) An insect which feeds on mucus, or the sap of plants, as certain Diptera, of the tribe Mucivora.
