Mucous polypus of the nose, which is often described as a myxoma, is merely a pendulous process of œdematous mucous membrane.
New growths include the fibroma, the myxoma, the myeloma or giant-celled tumour, and various forms of sarcoma.
Its pathological occurrence in the adult as a circumscribed tumor, the myxoma, may also be mentioned.
