There is a natural realism which says, 'Can there be a word devoid of meaning, or an idea which is an idea of nothing?'

But that to which it most easily adjusts itself is that maintained by Hamilton himself under the name of Natural Realism.

Is natural realism, permissible in logic, refuted then by empirical fact?
