Nelson, Admiral Horatio definition

A British naval officer of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, also called Lord Nelson. He defeated the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's fleet in the Battle of Trafalgar but was fatally wounded in the battle.
