Nelson syndrome Nel·son syndrome (něl'sən)
A syndrome characterized by hyperpigmentation of the skin and enlargment of the sella turcica and caused by the development of a pituitary tumor following adrenalectomy for Cushing's syndrome. Also called postadrenalectomy syndrome.
