Niemann-Pick cell

Niemann-Pick cell Nie·mann-Pick cell (nē'män'-)
A rounded or polygonal mononuclear cell with indistinctly or palely staining, foamlike cytoplasm that contains numerous droplets of sphingomyelin; it is characteristic of Niemann-Pick disease. Also called Pick cell.
