Nm is internet slang for not much or nevermind.

Like many internet slang abbreviations, it’s hard to identify the exact origin of nm, though it likely originates and spreads with acronyms like LOL (laughing out loud) and BRB (be right back) in the 1990–2000s.

Nm was defined as “not much” on Urban Dictionary in 2003 and appeared in Ryan Jones’s 2006 Internet Slang Dictionary.
