nummular num·mu·lar (nŭm'yə-lər)
adj.

  1. Shaped like a coin; disk-shaped. Used of the thick mucous or mucopurulent sputum in certain respiratory diseases in its takes on a discoid shape when flattened on the bottom of a sputum mug.

  2. Arranged like stacks of coins. Used of red blood corpuscles in rouleaux formation.
