Oil Gilding is employed with varnish polish, upon equipages, mirror-frames, and other furniture.

This is the most beautiful and expensive style of gilding, but it does not bear washing as oil gilding does.

This is ornamented with oil gilding, which in use has almost disappeared.

Very fine soft oil gilding was executed for some years, about 1786, by a German called Grahl.
