O`["o]*pho*rid"i*um\, n.; pl. L. O["o]phorida, E. O["o]phoridiums. [NL., dim. fr. Gr. ?. See O["o]phore.] (Bot.) The macrosporangium or case for the larger kind of spores in heterosporous flowerless plants.
