Oyster Bay

town (urbanized township), Nassau county, southeastern New York, U.S. It extends from the north to south shores on central Long Island, and comprises more than 30 incorporated villages and unincorporated communities. Villages include Massapequa Park and Oyster Bay Cove (both incorporated in 1931). Important unincorporated communities are Oyster Bay "village," Jericho, Massapequa, Hicksville, Plainview, and South Farmingdale.
