This can be forced through a pastry tube, or through a cornucopia, made from ordinary white letter paper.

Then, with a rosette pastry tube, pipe a border of potatoes around the edge of the plank, so that it will appear as in Fig. 22.

On those that have jam or jelly for their foundation, cream cheese put through a pastry tube forms the decoration.

Have the pastry bag clean and dry, and make it ready for use by slipping the pastry tube inside of the bag, as shown in Fig. 5.

The points of the pastry tube should be bent toward the center in order to produce the rosettes in the manner here shown.
