n. pl. pe·ni·cil·li (-sĭl'ī)

  1. Any of the tufts formed by the repeated subdivision of the minute arterial twigs in the spleen.

  2. Any of the complex systems of branches bearing organs that produce conida organs in fungi of the Penicillium.
