Among the beetles which are found in gardens is the potato beetle, which destroys the potato plant.

The Colorado potato beetle, or "potato bug," sometimes injures tomatoes, but not as a rule when potatoes are available.

Change the potato beetle larv to some other plant, and watch the result.

If the potato-beetle is troubling the potatoes, add paris-green to the Bordeaux mixture—a teaspoonful to every two gallons.

If it is a biting insect, that is one that eats the leaf, such as the potato beetle, paris-green should be used.
