protoduodenum pro·to·du·o·de·num (prō'tō-dōō'ə-dē'nəm, -dyōō'-, -dōō-ŏd'n-əm, -dyōō-)
The first part of the duodenum extending from the gastroduodenal pylorus to the major duodenal papilla and containing the duodenal glands.
