pyloric valve n.
A fold of mucous membrane at the gastroduodenal junction, enclosing the pylorus.
The intestine is usually marked off from the stomach by a ring-like sphincter muscle forming the 255 pyloric valve.
pyloric valve: the specialized posterior portion of crop where there is no distinct gizzard.
Close to the pyloric valve, on its right side, is a small papilla, on the apex of which the bile duct opens (b.d).
