  1. A muscle with its origin from the humerus, with insertion to the third metacarpal bone, with nerve supply from the radial nerve, and whose action extends and abducts the wrist towards the radius; short radial extensor muscle of wrist.

  2. A muscle with its origin from the humerus, with insertion to the second metacarpal bone, with nerve supply from the radial nerve, and whose action extends and abducts the wrist towards the radius; long radial extensor muscle of wrist.
