Radiolaria

Ra`di*o*la"ri*a\, n. pl. [NL. See Radioli.] (Zo["o]l.) Order of rhizopods, usually having a siliceous skeleton, or shell, and sometimes radiating spicules. The pseudopodia project from the body like rays. It includes the polycystines. See Polycystina.
