A city of western Nevada near the California border. Developed after the coming of the Union Pacific Railroad in 1868, it is a famous resort that was once noted primarily as a divorce center. Population: 210,000.
Reno, Janet Born 1939.  
American lawyer who became the first woman attorney general of the United States (1993). Known for her aggressive protection of children's rights, she was previously state attorney in Florida (1978-1993).
