Lux·em·burg   (lŭk'səm-bûrg', lŏŏk'səm-bŏŏrk')   
German socialist leader who cofounded (1918) the Spartacus Party, which became the German Communist Party. She was arrested after the Sparticist uprising in 1919 and subsequently murdered. Luxemburg's theoretical works include Accumulation of Capital (1913).
