Rumpel,
Theodor (1862–1923), German physician. Rumpel was the first to discover that in a patient with scarlet fever petechiae appear when the arm is constricted. He recorded hisobservation in 1909.
Leede,
Carl Stockbridge (1882–1964), American physician. Leede published independently a description of the Rumpel-Leede test in 1911.
