Langton (ˈlæŋtən)
Stephen. ?1150--1228, English cardinal; archbishop of Canterbury (1213--28). He was consecrated archbishop by Pope Innocent III in 1207 but was kept out of his see by King John until 1213. He was partly responsible for the Magna Carta (1215)
