Sarasvati

He preferred to spend the time in drinking from the holy river Sarasvati, though little accustomed to any other drink than wine.

The art was communicated to mortals by Sarasvati, the consort of Brahma.

These names the Arachoti received from the river on which they were settled, the older name of which was Arachotus (Sarasvati).

They tell us that she had a double birth; first she was daughter to Datsja, son of Brahma, and of Sarasvati his wife.

The seventh river is the Sarasvati, which is expressly named "the seven-sistered."
