Scarápa /'skär-pä,/ Antonio (1752–1832), Italian anatomist andsurgeon. Scarpa was one of the preeminent anatomists and surgeons of his time. He wrote classic descriptions of several anatomical features that have since been associated with his name: Scarpa'sfascia (1809), Scarpa's foramen (1799), and Scarpa's triangle (1809).
