SEIU is one of the most powerful unions in the country and known for its activism.

These public-sector workers were members of divisions of the AFL-CIO and SEIU, respectively.

And I am told by friends at SEIU that means that six people in Florida die every day as a result of that.

Nowadays, the SEIU and other groups seem to see flipping burgers as positively aspirational.

As SEIU president Mary Kay Henry assured me: “We are fired up and ready to go!”
