sigmoidoproctostomy sig·moi·do·proc·tos·to·my (sĭg-moi'dō-prŏk-tŏs'tə-mē)
Establishment of an artificial anus by surgically creating an opening at the junction of the sigmoid colon and the rectum. Also called sigmoidorectostomy.
