Sindbis fever Sind·bis fever (sĭnd'bĭs)
n.
A febrile illness of humans in Africa, Australia, and other countries, characterized by arthralgia, rash, and malaise. It is caused by the Sindbis virus and transmitted by culicine mosquitoes.
