Sneffels

Sneffels is the termination of a long range of volcanic mountains, of a different character to the system of the island itself.

From this, our first real stage, we began to ascend the slopes of the Sneffels volcano.

We are now on the summit of the great, the transcendent Sneffels, and here are its two peaks, north and south.

But on this occasion, instead of Sneffels, an old and extinct volcano, we were inside a mountain of fire in full activity.

Behold he whispered in an awe-stricken voice, behold—Mount Sneffels!
