spondyloepiphysial dysplasia spon·dy·lo·ep·i·phys·i·al dysplasia (spŏn'dl-ō-ěp'ə-fĭz'ē-əl)
n.
A complex of conditions, possibly genetic in cause, characterized by insufficient growth of the vertebral column and flattened vertebrae, and often involving the epiphyses at the hip and shoulder, resulting in a type of dwarfism.
