Stader,
Otto (1894–1962), American veterinary surgeon. Staderdevised the Stader splint in 1931. He developed this type of splint because his canine patients gnawed off plaster casts fitted on their legs. After several years of use on animals, the splint wasadopted for treating fractures in human patients.
