Stag"worm\, n. (Zo["o]l.) The larve of any species of botfly which is parasitic upon the stag, as [OE]strus, or Hypoderma, act[ae]on, which burrows beneath the skin, and Cephalomyia auribarbis, which lives in the nostrils.
