stippled epiphysis stip·pled epiphysis (stĭp'əld)
A congenital abnormality of the epiphyses marked by multiple ossification centers that severely deform the long bone and give it a stippled appearance and a thickened shaft. Also called dysplasia epiphysialis punctata.
