city, Pomorskie wojewodztwo (province), northern Poland. It lies along the Slupia River, 11 miles (18 km) from the Baltic coast. A manufacturing centre producing mainly furniture for export, it is situated on the Gdynia-Szczecin railway line. The Museum of Middle Pomerania is a notable cultural institution.
