submucosal plexus sub·mu·co·sal plexus (sŭb'my&oomacr;-kō'səl) n. A gangliated plexus of unmyelinated nerve fibers, derived chiefly from the superior mesenteric plexus, and ramifying in the intestinal submucosa.
