  1. An artery with origin in the popliteal artery, with distribution to the knee joint, and with anastomoses to the circumflex femoral, tibial, and lateral inferior genicular arteries; lateral superior artery of knee.

  2. An artery with origin in the popliteal artery, with distribution to the knee joint, and with anastomoses to the descending genicular and superior genicular arteries; medial superior artery of knee.
