Tar"si*us\, n. [NL. See Tarsus.] (Zo["o]l.) A genus of nocturnal lemurine mammals having very large eyes and ears, a long tail, and very long proximal tarsal bones; -- called also malmag, spectral lemur, podji, and tarsier.
