Taussig in his memorable contribution to the subject has, however, shown how untenable this theory of "equality of sacrifice" is.

This principle of joint cost, so clearly set forth by Professor Taussig, is fundamental and comprehensive.

Mr. Taussig's report of the results of a two hours' interview can be found in several of Mr. Lincoln's biographies.

Perhaps Professor Taussig, in spite of his excellent book, is rather a humdrum person himself.

But two of the conclusions which he reached conflict in a rather curious way with the statement of Professor Taussig.
