thrombocytasthenia throm·bo·cy·tas·the·ni·a (thrŏm'bō-sī'tās-thē'nē-ə)
A group of hemorrhagic disorders in which the platelets may be within or only slightly below the normal numerical range but are morphologically abnormal or are lacking in factors that are effective in the coagulation of blood.
