total ordering definition

mathematics
A relation R on a set A which is a partial ordering; i.e. it is reflexive (xRx), transitive (xRyRz => xRz) and antisymmetric (xRyRx => x=y) and for any two elements x and y in A, either x R y or y R x.

Total ordering is always a great word to know.
So is ort. Does it mean:
a screen or mat covered with a dark material for shielding a camera lens from excess light or glare.
a scrap or morsel of food left at a meal.
