transpyloric plane trans·py·lor·ic plane (trāns'pī-lôr'ĭk, -pĭ-, trānz'-)
An Addison's clinical plane passing horizontally midway between the upper margins of the sternum and the pubic symphysis, corresponding to the disk between the first and second lumbar vertebrae.
