Tu*ra"cou\, n. [Cf. F. touraco.] (Zo["o]l.) Any one of several species of plantain eaters of the genus Turacus, native of Africa. They are remarkable for the peculiar green and red pigments found in their feathers. [Written also touraco, and touracou.]
